Unveiling the Liquid Supply and Metering System of Fully Automatic Bag-Filling Packaging Machines for Liquids
As the number of liquid products packaged in bags continues to grow, the use of bagged liquid packaging machines is becoming increasingly widespread, placing higher demands on filling accuracy and efficiency. Currently, there are two main methods for quantitative measurement in bagged liquid packaging machines. : One type is the plunger-type metering pump; the other is a constant-level high-position tank, also known as a balance tank. The former has relatively obvious drawbacks. : Seals are prone to wear and tear as well as thermal expansion and contraction, which can easily lead to leakage of packaged items, making precise control more challenging. Additionally, lubrication materials can easily contaminate the packaged items. ; The latter is widely used due to its simple structure, lack of mechanical wear, and suitability for food-grade applications. 。
Filling principle
In a liquid packaging machine, The core function of the balance tank is to— Hydrostatic pressure difference caused by a constant liquid level , achieve Stable and precise quantitative filling Its operating principle is based on the “constant-pressure fluid supply” mechanism in fluid mechanics.
The principle behind liquid-level-controlled filling using a balance tank is to maintain a constant pressure at the outlet of the filling nozzle, which is generated by a constant liquid level. With the pressure held steady, the flow rate of liquid at the nozzle outlet remains constant. Since the cross-sectional area of the outlet pipe is also constant, the volume of liquid flowing out of the nozzle per unit time remains relatively stable. The filling volume can be controlled by adjusting the rotary knob on the front panel of the equipment, which regulates the cross-sectional area of the filling tube, thereby changing the amount of liquid being filled.
Main function
Maintain constant filling pressure : The liquid level in the balance tank is kept stable, ensuring that the liquid pressure at the outlet of the filling tube remains constant, thereby guaranteeing a consistent flow rate of liquid per unit time.
Improve filling accuracy : Compared to mechanical metering methods such as piston pumps, the balance tank... The liquid supply is less affected by factors such as temperature, seal wear, and lubricant contamination, making it more suitable for liquids requiring high precision or stringent hygiene standards (such as dairy products, food, beverages, etc.).
Compatible with multiple packaging formats : Widely used in bagged automatic liquid packaging machines, supports gravity-fed filling, and features a simple structure. Easy to maintain and clean with no dead corners. 。
